Michele Shockley
Obedience Instructor

"My love of dog sports began eleven years ago with my first German Shepherd Dog and a beginners obedience class. I was caught by surprise at how much fun it was teaching my dog and watching him learn.

I went on to acquire a second German Shepherd and became serious about competing in dog obedience with him. The pleasure and pride of working with him as my partner inspired me to want to pass on my knowledge. I want others to know the enjoyment that comes from a well-behaved dog and the special bond that develops during the training process.

I taught beginners obedience lessons for the six years that I lived in Ohio and was also involved in teaching the local shelter dogs enough obedience to help get them adopted. My German Shepherd went on to earn two legs on his CDX, including a High In Trial, before I and reluctantly retired him due to his age and physical limitations.

Recently I returned to the area with both my German Shepherds and my current partner, a rescued Australian Shepherd. My Australian Shepherd is currently working towards her CDX title. The aussie and I are also having a blast learning agility together where she's earned her NA title and has two legs on her OAJ title.

Thanks to Marsha for her inspiration and expert guidance during all these years and for giving me the opportunity to do what I love. I can't wait to teach you what I know and help you develop a special bond with your dog!"
